NAS Brand is Hiring a NAC MX Production Planner Near Anchorage, AK

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and releases daily, weekly, and monthly work packages in close coordination with Senior Director, Quality Control, Director of Maintenance, Engineering, Stores, Quality Control and Records to include scheduled maintenance events and sends work packages for schedule work to Maintenance Line Stations and Maintenance Repair Organizations.
  • Liaise with maintenance control, line maintenance, and maintenance repair stations to ensure seamless execution of maintenance plans.
  • Coordinates with Senior Director, Maintenance Control, Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, and Maintenance Control to develop maintenance plan and adjusts as necessary due to unexpected issues.
  • Coordinates with Quality Control and Stores to ensure that the maintenance, inspections, tools, and materials needed for Airworthiness Directive compliance are scheduled to meet FAA and company requirements.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Control, peer planners, aircraft records, engineering, and aircraft maintenance to develop 30, 60, and 90 – day maintenance plans.
  • Coordinates daily with maintenance control, purchasing, stores, aircraft records and maintenance to ensure a daily plan is released and forecasted to afford maintenance leadership time to react to possible changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Reviews all work packages for required parts, tooling and other specialized manpower or logistical requirements and orders, in TRAX, as required prior to releasing scheduled work.
  • Coordinates with Stores to ensure all needed parts, tooling and materials are sourced and purchased.
  • Coordinates with contract or outside maintenance services to supplement in-house capabilities as needed to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Monitors airframe inspection compliance and component time changes and advises appropriate departments of change/inspection due.
  • Ensures that plan for the work matches with routing for aircraft, and if not, works with SOCC and Maintenance Control to resolve. Coordinates with flight operations, maintenance control, and engineering teams to schedule planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
  • Reviews Minimum Equipment List and ensures items are listed on the daily work packages for troubleshooting and rectification. Coordinates with Stores to ensure all needed parts, tooling and materials are sourced and purchased for the clearing of the Minimum Equipment List / Configuration Deviation List / Deferred Maintenance Item.
  • Reviews Daily Status sheet and/or TRAX to develop scheduled work packages.
  • Reconciles discrepancies on the report and/or in TRAX with Records, Engineering, Maintenance and/or Maintenance Control. Ensures tasks coming due are planned accordingly.
  • Provides input to Maintenance Control for daily turnover communication of critical tasks and items of importance.
  • Develops systems and procedures necessary to effectively plan and schedule all maintenance requirements.
  • Ensures all maintenance planning activities comply with FAA regulations and other relevant authorities. Stay updated on regulatory changes and incorporate them into maintenance planning processes.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 1 year working in the aviation industry with a knowledge of maintenance or CAMP programs for large transport category aircraft.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational constraints.
  • Proficiency in the use of the TRAX maintenance management system, preferred.

Language and Communication Skills

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The work is classified as “heavy”.
  • Ability to perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position in a safe and effective manner including lifting up-to 70 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • Exposure to high noise levels, moving aircraft and equipment, dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, exposure to hazardous materials, exhaust fumes, working in confined spaces for extended periods, and working outside in harsh winter conditions for up to 2 hours at a time. Use of personal protective equipment including respirators.
