Hours required for this position:
Mon, Tues, Thurs : 6:30am-3:30pm
Wed: 6:30am- 3:30pm
Fri: 6:30am- 12:30 or 1pm
Lunches are 30 minutes.
We do close early on Fridays, so the days schedule may change depending on the doctors schedule.
Responsibilities Include:
Checking in patients in a professional and courteous manner and make sure no information has changed since last visit. Any changes must be noted/corrected in our system.
Answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate staff member as needed
Periodically checking phone/electronic messages and directing them to the appropriate staff member as needed
Schedule appointments and make sure arriving patients are greeted professionally and in a timely manner
Provide new patients with appropriate forms, and input all patient insurance information as needed
Fax, scan, and email documents as needed
Prepare outgoing mail as needed
Collect patient payments and post to the appropriate accounts.
Helps office manager with small tasks as needed.
Check bathrooms, turn lights on, and check medical fridge temp logs upon arrival every day. Make sure commonly used areas are sanitized regularly.
Must be aware of HIPAA laws and the importance of patient confidentiality
Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
Has previous experience in a medical reception or similar administrative position.
Has proficient skills with emr systems (experience with EClinicalWorks is a plus), Microsoft word, and Outlook
proficient skills using fax, email, and scanning
Has the ability to maintain a level of professionalism and confidentiality with patients and their information
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for processing payments and helping the office manager with collecting balances.
Has the ability to work independently, show initiative, and work productively within a team environment.

This is a small clinic, so we rely heavily on working together as a team. Must be a team player and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
