Job Summary:
The Service Detail technician at Nashville Nissan is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles in the dealership's service department. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction by providing high-quality service and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a salary of $15 to $16 per hour, paid bi-weekly. The successful candidate will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and thoroughly clean both the interior and exterior of vehicles
- Vacuum and detail the interior of vehicles, including carpets, seats, and other surfaces
- Apply wax, polish, and other protective coatings to vehicles
- Remove any stickers, labels, or decals from vehicles
- Ensure all vehicle parts are properly cleaned and functioning
- Keep the service department clean and organized, including emptying trash and sweeping floors
- Alert management of any damages or issues with vehicles
- Communicate with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the service provided
- Continuously maintain knowledge of new products, services, and techniques in vehicle detailing
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing or a similar position preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot imperfections
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and functions
- Physically able to perform the requirements of the job, including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
