Job Summary:

The Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for the development and administration of the employee relations program, affirmative action program and employee advocacy. This position interfaces with employees, government agencies and educational institutions. In this role you must be a productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and /or support employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action, and conflict management issues.
  • Administers the equal employment opportunity and employment relations programs.
  • Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities.
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

60% of Time the Employee Relations Advisor must:

  • Provides advice and counsel to supervisors on employee issues as they relate to compliance with regulations and laws. Conducts interactive processes with employees to determine ADA compliance and reasonable accommodations. Negotiates employment separations.

35% of Time the Employee Relations Advisor

  • Determined by department needs.

5% of Time the Employee Relations Advisor

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
