Role:To direct the delivery of services to members through branch staff; achieve organizational sales goals; participate in and support Natco Credit Union's sales and service culture by coaching and developing staff to pursue product and service sales opportunities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 45% Performs ongoing coaching and development of employees through one on one coaching, training, group training, weekly meetings.
E 20% Directs, motivates, hires and disciplines retail branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
E 20% Monitors branch performance through service and sales results relative to credit union goals and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory performance.
E 5% Maintains communications with upper management; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
E 5% Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
N 5% Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and staff.
2. To provide ongoing coaching and development training to staff. To note observations of employee performance into appropriate reporting tool, as well as, to give and receive feedback from employee on the same no later than 20 working days following each month end. Upload signed documented performance coaching conversation and/or disciplinary action to Performance Pro at least monthly.
3. To maintain and develop a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of members.
4. To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.
5. To proactively promote a sales culture within the department, both by example and by training employees to identify opportunities. To ensure that required retail products are sold by direct reports as determined by the annual KPI.
6. To develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of overall and department-specific credit union standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific
skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or
individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.
Other Skills Excellent organizational and editing skills. Good oral and written communications skills. Above average computer skills in Windows and Microsoft Office; proficient with spreadsheets. Intermediate keyboarding skills, able to navigate internet sufficiently to use 3rd party vendor programs.
Physical Requirements Sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Working for extended periods of time as necessary to accomplish objective, goals and projects. Visual acuity for analyzing data and figures; viewing computer monitor; extensive reading. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands and/or fingers. Reading documents and procedures necessary to the daily performance of essential functions. Operating standard office equipment, including a personal computer, telephone and photocopier. Occasionally lifting boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Driving personal vehicle and traveling for moderate periods of time.
Work Environment Work environment is that of a typical office environment. Work is conducted at a desk. Overhead lighting is sufficient. Noise level is normal. Commute to and from work may involve driving during inclement weather.
