Job Description:
Nation Security is looking for a data-driven accountant to join our team in an integral position. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and utilizing QuickBooks for tracking financial transactions. We are seeking individuals who are experienced problem-solvers, highly organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are accurately recorded in the correct daybook, supplier's ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, record maintenance, and generate financial reports.
- Ensure efficient processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant, or a similar role.
- Must demonstrate exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, and basic accounting systems.
