National Academic Educational Partners is Hiring a Kindergarten Teacher Near Tampa, FL

Victory Charter School Tampa, a small elementary school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Tampa, Florida, is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Kindergarten Teacher. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing literacy and foundational educational skills while fostering social development through interdisciplinary instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive kindergarten curriculum aligned with IB PYP standards and the school's educational goals.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote literacy, numeracy, and foundational educational skills.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of young learners.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary instruction to connect various subject areas, enhancing overall student learning and development.
  • Employ inquiry-based learning techniques to stimulate curiosity and critical thinking in students.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Organize and supervise age-appropriate extracurricular activities and events to further promote student interest and social development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the kindergarten curriculum, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of students and adheres to IB PYP guidelines.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community to support student success and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and IB instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid Florida teaching certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
  • Experience teaching kindergarten or early childhood education; experience in an IB PYP school is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the IB PYP philosophy and commitment to interdisciplinary instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners to develop a love for learning.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience conducting literacy and numeracy activities in the classroom.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in early childhood education and inquiry-based learning.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into early childhood instruction.
  • Experience working in a diverse and multicultural school environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
