The new FuturEdge Charter Academy is a leading STEAM school in Nevada, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to support educators in the lower grades. This part-time role is essential in ensuring the success of student learning by assisting teachers with instructional and classroom management tasks, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing STEAM-based instructional activities and lesson plans.
• Provide individualized or small group instruction to students under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Support students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing learning concepts.
• Assist with classroom management, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and resources for lessons.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
• Help with the supervision of students during classroom transitions, recess, and other activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.
• Support the integration of technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.
• Perform clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and maintaining student records.
• Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and the STEAM approach.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Paraprofessional certification meeting Nevada School of Education requirements.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of and interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and school staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
• Basic proficiency in using educational technology and software.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
