National Academic Educational Partners is Hiring a Performing Arts Teacher Near Tampa, FL

Victory Charter School Tampa an IB PYP school in Tampa, Florida, is seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Performing Arts Teacher for grades K-11. The ideal candidate will be proficient in teaching a range of performing arts skills that could include, chorus, dance, visual arts, and digital design. The teacher will also be responsible for integrating interdisciplinary instruction, fostering creativity, and enhancing students' artistic skills and appreciation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive performing arts curriculum aligned with IB PYP standards and the school's educational goals.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in chorus, dance, visual arts, and digital design.
  • Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and student participation.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary instruction to connect performing arts with other subject areas, enhancing overall student learning and development.
  • Employ inquiry-based learning techniques to stimulate creativity and critical thinking in students.
  • Organize and supervise school performances, art exhibits, and other related events to showcase student talent and promote the performing arts.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the performing arts curriculum, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of students and adheres to IB PYP guidelines.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community to support student success and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in performing arts education and IB instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid Florida teaching certification in the appropriate subject area.
  • Experience teaching performing arts anylevel; experience in an IB PYP school is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the IB PYP philosophy and commitment to interdisciplinary instruction.
  • Proficiency in teaching chorus, dance, visual arts, and digital design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for the performing arts.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience directing school performances and art exhibits.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in performing arts education and inquiry-based learning.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into performing arts instruction.
  • Experience working in a diverse and multicultural school environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $50,391.00 per year
