Technical Services Administrative Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Position Summary: 

The administrative assistant's duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Technical Services department. The administrative assistant for Technical Services must have the ability to effectively communicate via phone and email and ensure that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. The administrative assistant position may direct and lead the work of others.

• Manage and assist in implementation and set up of digital forms/reports, which includes adding updating forms, product specifications, and labels as needed

• Coordinate new/revised product process flow for all sales outlets (mail order, food service, and retail)

• Assist in maintaining HACCP plans, SSOP Programs, Pre-Req programs, SOPs, and BRC evidence binders

• Prepare for audits (customer, BRC, FSA, etc.)

• Compilation of Quarterly Corporate Plant tour presentation data

• Daily compilation and email of destructive audit results

• Compilation of monthly internal and external audit results

• Maintain production product specifications folder

• Weekly compilation of environmental (Micro/ATP) sampling data and reporting

• Maintain USDA ECH7 testing log

• Management of Tech Services supplies, ATP swabs, Micro sponges, and titrations (inventory and ordering)

• Support in the assembling of daily laboratory cooler shipment and ensure the Chain of Custody is accurate and complete

• Download and file of all Temp-Tale data loggers, and communicate any irregularities found

• Track all QA equipment calibration verification schedules (thermometer certifications, scale weight certifications). Maintain file of all certificates for said equipment

• Maintain QA Hold Log in Safety-Chain with weekly verification and communication of outstanding tags

• Sort/file daily documentation

• Archive documentation monthly

• Work on special assignments as described by Technical Services Management

• Other duties as assigned

Technical Services Technician Job Assignments:

• Portion Auditor

• Finished Good Auditor

• Raw Material Auditor

• Validation Auditor

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualified candidates for the Technical Services Administrative Assistant (Quality Assurance) position should have the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education

• Exhibited good attendance and work ethics in past jobs

• good verbal and written communication skills (English – USDA Requirements are in English)

• ability to work well with others as the job has inherent conflict and confrontational aspects

• proficiency in using spreadsheets and word processors

• ability to lead and motivate subordinates to perform the required activities
