Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Global Sourcing with a proven track record in managing global sourcing operations across various industries. This role requires an individual with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in global sourcing and a spend responsibility of at least $350 million. The Director of Global Sourcing will play a dual role in managing critical commodities and developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies to drive cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain resilience.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing Leadership:
• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.
• Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
2. Commodity Management:
• Oversee the procurement of critical commodities, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to inform sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
3. Spend Management:
• Lead initiatives to optimize spend and achieve cost savings across the organization.
• Develop and manage the global sourcing budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
4. Supplier Development and Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Drive supplier development programs to enhance capabilities and support business growth.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and product development teams, to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Lead cross-functional teams in sourcing initiatives and projects to ensure successful execution.
• Provide guidance and support to regional sourcing teams to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing global sourcing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Identify and develop talent within the sourcing organization, promoting professional growth and career development.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to drive individual and team success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in global sourcing, with a proven track record in managing a spend responsibility of at least $350 million.
• Experience across multiple industries, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and sourcing best practices.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
