Job Summary:
The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for ensuring cement plant and quarries environmental compliance with applicable state, and federal environmental laws and regulations. Will work closely with plant operation and maintenance team to achieve compliance.
Duties:
-Responsible for compiling, maintaining, and filing reports required by environmental regulations and laws under the plant AIR and Water permits.
-Observe plant operations related to environmental compliance (including CEMS, CPMS, emissions database operations) and report breakdowns/exceedances to agencies according to permit requirements.
-Perform water sample collection, initiate analysis, and report according to NPDES permits for all discharge points of various sites.
-Responsible for the application/maintenance of environmental permits other than air and water (scrap tire, regulated waste).
-Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
*Bachelor of Science preferably Major in Environmental Sciences.
