The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a 501(c)(3) lineage-based membership organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American History, and securing America’s future through education, seeks an experienced professional to serve as our Senior Director for Historic Preservation and Collections.

This newly created role has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the stewardship of DAR’s historic collections and archives as well as other critical operations. This new position will lead a senior level team of managers that are responsible for the daily operations of our Library, Archives, and Museum.

The successful candidate must possess a sophisticated understanding of curatorial principles and institutional practices. Applicants must demonstrate a record of converting vision into working programs and inventive practices. This position reports to the Executive Director and will liaise with executive leadership.
