DutiesProvide expertise and knowledge of minerals and geology program to help support the PNF's M&Gprogram to develop the next generation of resource stewards, and to assist the Forest withworkforce capacity needs until additional staff is hired.
Conducts geologic studies and investigations on a variety of projects where minerals and geology activities have an effect on the development and management of forest resources. 50%
Assemble haul ticket records for Mineral Material quarries; prepare spreadsheets summarizing quarry records; generate Bills of Collection and associated permits in NRM 25%
Monitor and inspects mineral operations for compliance with operating plan 25%

Federal computer security and facilities annual training, NRM database annual training, CPR/1st Aid training

Required Safety Gear: typical field going activities, inspection of active mining operations, abandoned minedland sites, field meetings with operators, etc.
Sawyer training info: typical field gear and required PPE for the task at hand
