Description This Operations Supervisor position is part of Weyerhaeuser's Wood Products Distribution Business, working under the guidance of the Stockton Site Operations Manager. This position provides leadership and supervision of the operations function (receiving, warehousing and distribution) on the assigned shift for the Distribution Center. The Operations Supervisor assists in leading the operations team; provides coaching, guidance, management and direction to the team in the world class distribution of building products. This is a 2nd shift opportunity (3p-11:30p). Candidate must be able to start around 2pm to prepare for shift. Must be able to work overtime as needed to complete deliveries for the next day. Key Functions:
Assists in leading a team of hourly warehouse associates and forklift operators.
Production plan and hand out production assignments
Provides coaching, guidance, management and direction to the team.
Provides strong leadership in safety, customer service, performance management, employee development and training, inventory management, and problem solving.
Assists in leading the safety effort - improves and reinforces the safety program and safety culture.
Works collaboratively as a member of the leadership team to continuously improve the operating procedures.
Provides superior customer service and excellent financial return to the company.
Develop and monitor operations plans and schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to meet schedules.
Works closely with the sales team to meet customer service expectations (e.g., scheduling order fulfillment and cost-effective delivery.)

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Qualifications
At least 3 or more years of supervisory experience
Personal commitment to safety as #1 priority.
Leadership capability, particularly with Weyerhaeuser's safety culture.
Working knowledge of effective inventory management and distribution practices.
Ability to motivate, influence and encourage a diverse group with varied skill levels and backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships across multiple functions.
Ability to effectively coach and develop a team-oriented, customer service driven operation.
Ability to drive improvement and solve difficult problems utilizing all available resources.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, a high level of initiative, commitment to customer satisfaction.
Ability to adapt to changing business and market conditions.
Able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Able to operate a forklift
Preferred Skills :
Bachelor's degree
SAP or similar WMS (warehouse management system)
Prior experience with building materials distribution
Demonstrated working knowledge of supply chain logistics processes, including demand planning, distribution
Requirements planning, inventory management and control, transportation and logistics planning, and warehousing.
Understanding of Lean Concepts; Experience with Leading Lean Improvement Activities.
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $56,000 - $84,800 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
