Job Summary
Quality Technician: Works closely with the product line Quality Engineer to ensure robustness of Quality Controls and proactively monitors signals from the production process to prevent defects.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize Polaris Problem solving (PDCA, 5Y, Fishbone Diagrams) and Lean PPS (Polaris Production System) techniques to Continuously drive improvements to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Drive Part Qualification Activities completing Key Elements of AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Ensure Part Quality Standards are achieved through Polaris Development Process (PDP) and maintained using statistical techniques
  • Provide guidance to the production team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Work on Cross Functional Teams to meet site Goals and Initiatives
  • Train others on proper equipment and measuring techniques
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Experience and Skillset
  • Technical Degree (Prefer Manufacturing Related)
  • Strong Communications Skills (written and verbal)
  • Precision Machining and /or Casting knowledge or Experience preferred
  • Fundamental Problem Solving
  • Strong inspection skills and machining first article inspection experience
  • Data Analytics
  • Blueprint reading / Fundamentals of GD&T
  • Strong computer skills
  • Fundamentals of Quality
