We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Loan Processor to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of loan processing and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Loan Processor is responsible for managing the loan process from application to closing. This includes reviewing loan applications, verifying information, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Loan Application Review
  • Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all required documentation is obtained and meets underwriting guidelines.
  1. Documentation and Verification
  • Verify borrower information including income, employment, and credit history.
  • Order and review appraisals, title work, and other necessary third-party documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation meets lender and regulatory requirements.
  1. Communication and Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, realtors, and underwriters.
  • Communicate with all parties to obtain additional information as needed and provide updates on loan status.
  • Coordinate loan closings with borrowers, title companies, and other relevant parties.
  1. Compliance and Quality Control
  • Ensure all loan files are compliant with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review files for accuracy and completeness before submission to underwriting.
  1. Pipeline Management
  • Manage a pipeline of loan files to ensure timely processing and closing.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, underwriting, or mortgage lending.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, including FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and investor guidelines.
  • Proficient in mortgage loan software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
