National Park Medical Center is Hiring a RN Surgery PACU Near Hot Springs, AR

Completes comprehensive physical and psycho-social assessment of patients; takes or reviews nursing histories to provide a basis of development of patient care plans.-Implements patient’s written care plan, evaluates patient’s response to care provided and redirects care as necessary. Demonstrates proficiency in competencies for direct patient care and technical skills.-Implements and monitors appropriate nursing care plan to meet patient’s needs; identifies expected intervention, and ensures vital patient information is passed on when patient care is transferred to another nurse.-Administers medications, including IV’s as prescribed by physician or directed from physician preference card. Knows the actions, indications, dosage and route of administration on drugs prior to administering to patient.-Demonstrates knowledge of media legal consequences of nursing activities; interprets diagnostic data and practices infection control in all actions.-Participates in the health care education needs for the client and the family as appropriate.-Monitors utilization of equipment, instrumentation and supplies.-Maintains safe and sanitary work environment.-Adheres to principles of aseptic technique.-Serves as a positive role model for nursing and para-professional personnel, fosters positive working relationships with physicians.-Collaborates with hospital personnel and physicians.-Participates in evaluative mechanisms to determine unit’s quality of nursing practice.-Adheres to hospital policies and procedures of National Park Medical Center.-Performs all other related duties as assigned.
