National Ramp is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Valley, NY

National Ramp is a market leader, innovator, and disruptor providing newfound freedom to the elderly and disabled community with the greatest range of accessibility ramps in the industry. Our family has been in the accessibility business for over 30 years, and we are in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Marketing Manager who will help us share our story and our solutions with anyone in need of regaining their Freedom Now.

OVERVIEW:

As the Marketing Manager for National Ramp, you will lead a dynamic team with one mission: To provide freedom to as many people possible. You’ll accomplish this through strategically positioning our brand to be instantly found or recalled by anyone needing a ramp solution for themselves or their loved ones. Your goal is to build such a powerful brand that National Ramp will become the “Coca-Cola” of ramps, and the #1 Ramp Company in the World. Your success will ultimately help thousands (and eventually millions) of disabled human beings regain their freedom faster than ever before. And, anyone that touches our brand will feel much better in having done so.

With several new products to bring to market, along with one new significant, fundamentally strategic initiative, the Marketing Manager role will be demanding yet rewarding. Reporting to the Marketing Director or CEO, this position is responsible for the planning and tactical execution of all marketing initiatives. You will also work with the Marketing Director and/or CEO to enhance the strategic direction for the marketing plan, collaborating with the management team and sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, with a hands-on, efficient, and goal-oriented approach to brainstorming ideas and driving them from initial concept to implementation.

BENEFITS:

At National Ramp, we ask a lot of our employees, so we try and give a lot in return. We truly believe that every successful relationship is reciprocal.

In addition to your competitive salary, we offer vision, dental, and medical plans, matching 401(k), life insurance, short term/long term disability insurance, and access to a vast range of other benefits that can help you save money and provide advice on everything from buying a house to buying flowers.

We provide 3 weeks’ Paid Time Off which can be used however you choose, as well as an additional 7 days’ paid for statutory holidays.

These benefits are provided to you immediately upon hire with no waiting period because we believe that new hires need health insurance and paid time off, too!

Individual needs such as working from home, flexible working hours, or vehicle allowances are considered on a case-by-case basis, because everyone has a unique set of circumstances in their personal lives outside of work that we consider for.

Ultimately, the most important benefits we believe we can provide you are:

  • A work environment that is positive and engaging, yet challenges you to perform your very best work
  • A company that you can “call home” for as long as you would like to
  • A job that doesn’t feel like a job because you are actually enjoying what you are most passionate about
  • A management team that recognizes that your experience and skills in Marketing are actually better than ours, and we are hiring you for your proficiency as a “subject matter expert” to help us build our brand, become a stronger team, and ultimately a better company
  • Recognition for a job well done – both humanly (with actual praise) and monetarily (being paid for your performance with bonuses and/or salary increases)

REQUIREMENTS:

As you well know, not everyone can be a Marketing Manager! To be seriously considered for this key position, please have the following in regard to:

Character:

This comes first because it is truly the most important to us. An applicant might have all the experience, skills, and education of a good Marketing Manager, but if their character is deficient, we will not be a great fit for each other. Our company Values are: We Wow, We Now, We Own It, We Innovate, and We Care.

National Ramp is searching for a Marketing Manager who is a strong team leader who aligns with our Values, and will take the initiative in bringing new and improved marketing ideas to the management team. In addition, you will also: be accountable, have a positive mindset, be confident in your ability and your ideas yet humble enough to accept feedback graciously, be a team motivator, diligently adhere to all deadlines, be flexible in managing priorities, and be caring of your team. Sometimes, you might even have to persuade your manager that your ideas are better than his or hers! Above all, a good sense of humor could help you most!

Our company is large enough to have various departments requiring organizational structure, yet small enough for our employees to feel the solidarity of a family-like environment. As such, there are times when we just “roll up our sleeves” to get a job done. Our management team has never asked anyone to do a job we wouldn’t be prepared to do ourselves. If it means taking out the trash or unjamming a copier, our team has each other’s back. We expect all our managers to treat their teams accordingly.

Experience:

At least 3 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities, including leading, mentoring, and motivating a Marketing team. Experience in creating and driving social, digital, and SEO campaigns to measurably successful results with increased lead generation and increased sales. Experience and proficiency in all aspects of Marketing including: digital, print, graphic design, social media, video content and production. Experience in e-commerce operations, web-based content management tools, email marketing, digital/social media in a business to business environment. Experience with lead acquisition, CRM/database marketing, and direct marketing required. Experience in marketing B2B as well as B2C would be a bonus.

Skills:

You must be passionate about the true essence of Marketing, which (in our view) is to increase brand and product awareness to the extent that the greatest number of potential clients are attracted to our company because of our exceptionally unique proposition which then compels them to buy from us over any possible competitor.

You understand and are possessive of the power of the brand, down to even the finer details of logomarks, coloring, and graphic design. You must be creative to ensure that the brand is consistent yet stays fresh, along with bringing new initiatives forward.

You have an understanding of and keep up to date with the latest marketing methodologies, in order to keep our brand foremost and relevant to our target audience. In doing so, you must work with management to ensure that our product and service offerings are still the most desired.

You understand the power of social media and the Internet, along with “social listening” to stay attuned to what the marketplace is looking for today, even if it means changing our products or target audience.

You have strong project management skills, and the ability to negotiate with vendors to meet budgets and timelines.
