Insurance Customer Service Representative ("CSR") helps manage agency system, phones, and walk-in customers while also serving as an assistant to other customer service representatives with quoting, sales, and servicing of insurance policies. Our agency primarily sells commercial, home, auto, and life insurance through Nationwide, along with a suite of other carriers.

We specifically require candidates to have several years of recent administrative or sales experience, and prefer their Property & Casualty license to be in good standing with the SCDOI, and will only consider applications reflecting same. Salary is negotiable if applicant has additional experience and is long-time licensed agent.

We strongly prefer candidates with two (2) or more years of college.

Reports to Vice President of Sales.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: managing incoming calls, faxes, emails, mail, filing, and walk-in traffic; referring calls to agents and taking messages; filing and organizing documents; engaging in basic customer service such as taking payments and calling follow-up list; quoting and selling policies; and pursuing leads with daily sales calls in conjunction with other customer service representatives.
