About the position:

The Flatwork Concrete Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of concrete laborers for various commercial and residential projects. This includes coordinating tasks for the crew and ensuring adherence to plans and deadlines. The Flatwork Concrete Foreman will ensure the completion of all assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness, personal safety, and company policies and procedures.

Job type and schedule: Full-time. Summer hours: April 15th - November 1st, Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm. Winter hours: November 1st - April 14th, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.

Physical requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of the day, operate equipment. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

You will:

• Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary according to project needs, external factors (weather, supplies, etc), and personnel
• Interpret project blue prints and execute work accordingly
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to problem-solve and complete projects
• Complete all jobs within specified timelines
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting procedures
• Assist with any additional tasks, as needed and assigned

You will need to have:

• Experience in all aspects of concrete flatwork
• Solid understanding of building codes, concrete procedures, and other guidelines
• Effective communication, including verbal, written, and listening
• Self-motivated attitude with ability to work on your own and as a team, as well as the ability to effectively manage a team
• High attention to detail, especially concerning safety and regulations
