We are working with our partner to find an assistant general manager for their casino.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for leading and managing the performance, operations and accountability for the Food and Beverage, Hotel, and Hotel Sales Departments. Additionally, this position will assist with Slots, Table Games, Security, Human Resources, Guest Services, Facilities and other Departments... This position will also assist the General Manager with special projects and property initiatives. The Assistant General Manager position will assist with developing budgets, operating and casino and hotel marketing strategies, and monitoring execution of strategies, performance goals and objectives for each area of responsibility.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain a high quality of guest service.
• Act as General Manager in the General Manager’s absence.
• Inform General Manager of all property activities and personnel issues on a daily basis.
• Responsible for planning, controlling, communications and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations in areas of responsibility.
• Assist in preparing and effectively managing department budgets and strategic plans.
• Establish standards of performance and ensure standards of quality, teamwork and customer service in areas of responsibility. 
• Establish and maintain communication and interaction with employees and guests in areas of responsibility.
• Monitor schedules and activities to maintain efficiency.
• Work with department managers and assist with P&L reviews and departmental budget questions.
• Ensure adherence to Gaming regulations.
• Actively monitor all casino operations for proper service levels and employee activity.
• Work on any special projects, company initiatives, and training as directed by the General Manager.
• Analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. Recognize and solve problems.
• Effectively manage people, process and procedures and adhere to deadlines. 
• Promote positive work atmosphere, including support and assistance to all the management and staff.
• Observe and analyze current and future competitive properties.
• Contribute to management shift coverage and floor representation.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
• Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
• Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.
• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
• Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience in managing Food and Beverage and Hotel Sales and Operations. Knowledge of Hotel Marketing, Guest Services (as it relates to marketing), Casino Marketing and other Casino departments is a plus.
• Four year degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 yrs. experience in managing and supervising in casino operations and hospitality in a large scale gaming facility with multiple outlets.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Multiple language skills preferred but not required
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
• Must have strong communication skills.
