The ERM team for the Americas, supporting the Chief Risk Officer for the Combined US Operations (CUSO), contributes to the development of the activity by facilitating the objectives of the Business Lines while maintaining independent oversight through risk evaluation and monitoring. The ERM team in the US supports all the activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada, and Latin America), which are Corporate and Institutional Banking and Asset Management oriented.
The ESG Risk Officer sought for this position will be part of the Enterprise Risk Management Team. This senior role will oversee implementation of a ESG risk framework, reporting into the Head of Enterprise Risk Management for Americas.
As the regulatory pressure is increasing, he/she/they will play a pivotal role in coordinating the design of a risk management framework, ensuring to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively across the business activities. Alignment and coordination with head office developments will be a key success criteria for meeting the strategic ambitions and regulatory requirements.
The salary range for this position will be between $220,000 - $275,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
Key components of the ESG risk program:

• ESG Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive ESG risk assessments across the bank's operations, identifying potential risks and opportunities related to environmental, social, and governance factors.
• ESG Due Diligence: Review and assess the ESG performance of clients, counterparties, and potential investments, providing recommendations to senior management regarding risk exposure and mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with external ESG experts, industry peers, and regulatory bodies to stay current with evolving ESG standards, regulations, and market trends.
• ESG Reporting: Develop and implement robust ESG reporting mechanisms, ensuring that relevant ESG data and metrics are collected, analyzed, and reported to internal and external stakeholders in a transparent and consistent manner.
• Policy Development: Assist in the development and refinement of the bank's ESG policies and guidelines, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• ESG Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for bank staff to enhance ESG awareness and understanding, promoting a culture of responsible business conduct.
• ESG Integration: Collaborate with various business units/risk functions to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making processes, risk models, and product development.
• ESG Portfolio Analysis: Analyze the ESG risk exposure of the bank's portfolios and recommend strategies to optimize risk-adjusted returns while aligning with ESG objectives.
