Nature’s Flavors is looking for a skilled label maker. The label maker is responsible for developing, revising, and implementing new and updated product labels marketed by the Nature’s family of companies.

For over 40 years, Newport Flavours and Nature’s Flavors have developed and produced custom natural and organic flavors and fragrances for consumers and businesses. We use the highest quality natural ingredients sourced worldwide to construct our flavorings and fragrances. Our products enhance, maintain, or improve the taste, aroma, color, or flavor of goods. The Label Maker will act as the liaison between all departments impacted by changes in our product labels, such as Customer Service, Production, Sales, Regulatory, and Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the print production of labels for all orders, making sure all company and product information is accurate.
• Verifies the accurate use of product names and associated trademarks.
• Develops, revises, and reviews product labels to assure compliance and conformity with existing Regulatory guidelines.
• Works with Quality Control, Production, and Marketing teams to develop and revise product labels and control specifications for type style, font size, transparency, and conformity of wording, formatting, and print publishing.
• Assists with the development and implementation of packaging and labeling processes.
• Works to resolve label quality issues.
• Follows graphic and label standards practiced by the Companies.
• Ensures the accuracy of labeling documentation by reviewing updated artwork prior to circulating the files for review by the Quality Control, Regulatory, Marketing, and Production teams.
• Bring regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of Management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite apps such as Illustrator and Photoshop for digital and print needs required.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadline pressure; must be able to manage unresolved situations, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• Must have good interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication ability.
• Experience or demonstrated proficiency in documentation management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A High School diploma is required at minimum.
• A minimum of one year of experience in labeling/packaging development, technical writing, and/or regulatory environments.
• Ability to work independently. Must possess excellent time management skills, including prioritizing and scheduling.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
