Nights shift trainer 6PM-6:30AM 4 on/4 off schedule

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Delivers training across the department, gathers feedback, and processes evaluations, based on established training program.
• Supports and coaches one-on-one trainings to support team members’ development, as coordinated by the Training & Safety Manager.
• Collaborates with management in “train the trainer” programs as per company protocol.
• Support the maintenance of department-specific documentation for SOPs, JIBs, and training procedures; follow schedule for new items and support plans to resolve items out of compliance.
• Report and/or request needs for the program directly to the Training & Safety Manager related to equipment, supplies, and materials for components of training.
• Acclimate new hires to the business and process flow.
• Create a positive learning environment, establish credibility as a trainer, encourage participation, and deliver constructive feedback to team members.
• Interacts with Trainees in a manner that ensures their onboarding and training experience is positive by continuously receiving/providing feedback.

Path for Success:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Related operator experience working in a food manufacturing environment; preferred
• Experience with training preferred
• Proficiency with basic technology to deliver training and evaluations (common Microsoft/Windows/PowerPoint programs, Alchemy, CDC, IFS, etc.
• Experience leading by example to support an environment of diversity and respect at all levels of an organization.
• Presentation, organizational, and time management skills required, self-driven experience and aptitude.
• Proven team-focused attitude; experience with self-directed teams desirable
• Strong safety awareness: basic understanding of OSHA as it relates to manufacturing.
• The ability to communicate and understand verbal directions effectively and efficiently in English, both verbal and written.
• Ensuring a safe working environment for self and others.
• Performing machine changeovers, set-up, adjustments, and calibrations of packaging machines to maintain continuous production.
• Recommending changes to production line to increase efficiencies, productivity, safety, and quality.
• Ensure all areas are free of contamination and coordinate the sanitation of equipment during product changeovers and production run time.
• Perform other duties and tasks as set forth by the shift supervisor or lead when required.
• Providing training to a team of 5-8 members at once.

Wage: $28.43/hr $1.50/hr shift differential between 6PM - 6:00AM

Experience

• Proficiency with basic technology to develop & deliver training and evaluations.
• 1 - 3 years: Intermediate-to-Advaced operator experience in a food manufacturing environment (experience with training preferred).
