Nature's Path is Hiring a PLC Programmer, Maintenance - SIGN ON BONUS $2,500 Near Blaine, WA

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Creates and modifies Allen Bradley programmable logic controller (PLC) programs for our production plant.
  • Creates and modifies HMI programs for our production.
  • Designs engineering systems for the automation of industrial tasks.
  • Researches, selects, or applies the following: sensors, vision systems, communication technologies, control devices for motion control, position sensing, and pressure sensing.
  • Identifies and selects materials appropriate for mechatronic system designs.
  • Upgrades the design of existing devices by adding mechatronic elements.
  • Analyzes existing development or manufacturing procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Develops schematic diagrams, panel layout drawings, and plan layout drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Creates and modifies programs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), and motor control devices.
  • Use and maintain electrical related software programs.
  • Inspects components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation including review of blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specification.
  • Coordinates projects by controlling the schedules, budgets, interfacing with customers, and overall project management.
  • Maintains technical project files.
  • Communicates design information and works effectively as a team with manufacturing personnel.
  • Tests design solutions and publishes test results.
  • Installs repaired equipment in various settings.
  • Troubleshoots equipment problems.
  • Tests faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic equipment and systems.
  • Works continuously to improve existing systems and new projects.
  • Works effectively, efficiently, and positively with minimal supervision.
  • Attends industry related training.
  • Maintain and complete task schedule including written and verbal requests.
  • Maintain detailed back-up of all control related programs.
  • Perform LOTO, Confined Space and Hot Work permits when required.
  • Setting up and safely operating all types of production equipment and machine tools such as, but not limited to, lathes, mills, welder, make or rework required machine parts.
  • Knowledge of all chemicals in the plant and follow all SDS rules and knowledge where the book is stored Knowledge of all QA procedures as set forth by the natures path procedures.
  • Understand and follow all SOP as set by the natures path foods.
  • Promotes and follows safe work procedures in all areas of the facility.
  • Keep clean job site and tools.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in electronic technology or related field is preferred. 
  • PLC training or certification
  • Electrical Design skills preferred.
  • 3 years of experience PLC programming and control system automation, preferably in Allen Bradley. 
  • 3 years of experience with Manufacturing Automation. 
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Experience using control logic and ladder logic.
  • Experience using PLC to create line control.
  • Must be capable of multitasking in a rapid paced environment. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills are essential. 
  • Certified electrician preferred. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and written in the English language

Shift: Sunday-Wednesday 6:00am-6:30pm

Wage: $39.29-$41.80 DOE $1.50 shift differential between 6PM - 6:00AM
