We are looking for a billing specialist to join our billing team. The billing specialist will be responsible for entering all charges accordingly. They include office visits, tests, nursing facility and hospital charges. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Checking billing tasks on a regular basis (i.e. verifying eligibility, getting authorization for outpatient procedures when needed)
• Answering phones
• Process Medicaid payments on Medicaid website
• The individual should be able to answer insurance questions from patients and other staff members
• Experience with insurance/authorization websites is a big plus.

Requirements:

- Must have a minimum of 1 year prior experience working in a medical office doing billing, prior authorizations and/or patient/insurance collections

- Very organized

- Good communication skills

- The ability to multi-task

- Team player

- Experience with Microsoft office and Vertex is a big plus

Full time position, salary commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
