Nava Healthcare is Hiring a HR Director Near Mobile, AL

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Human Resources Director (HR Director) to be part of our skilled nursing facility in Mobile, AL. As HR Director you are responsible for managing all aspects of human resources functions within the facility. You will oversee recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR Director works closely with facility leadership to support organizational goals and promote a positive work environment for all staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions within the nursing home.
  • Coordinate job postings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations throughout the recruitment and selection process.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions, completion of required paperwork, and introduction to facility policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate training programs for staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge, including mandatory training on safety, infection control, and resident rights.
  • Implement performance management processes to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and goal-setting sessions with staff members on a regular basis.
  • Assist managers in addressing performance issues and developing performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner, following established protocols for resolution.
  • Promote positive employee relations by fostering open communication, resolving conflicts, and recognizing employee achievements.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with plan requirements and regulations.
  • Coordinate with benefit providers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth administration of benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation to support regulatory requirements and audits.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks and promote a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention, including recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address retention challenges and implement initiatives to improve employee morale and job satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
  • Experience using Hostedtime and Apploi preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
