Nava Healthcare is Hiring a RN Unit Manager Near Phenix, AL

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our team in Phenix City, AL. The RN Unit Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care within a designated unit or floor in facility. By providing clinical leadership, staff management, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Unit Manager contributes to positive resident outcomes and the overall success of the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and direction to nursing staff, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs), ensuring the provision of safe and effective care.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans for residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Monitor resident outcomes and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions to address resident needs and enhance quality of care.
  • Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and staff satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting clinical excellence and adherence to professional standards.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to nursing care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities to monitor and improve the quality of care provided.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards of practice and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care and services.
  • Participate in care conferences, case reviews, and other meetings to discuss resident progress, develop care plans, and address clinical issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, and other departments to facilitate communication and resolve concerns.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on clinical topics, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Coordinate orientation programs for new nursing staff and ongoing training initiatives to support professional development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the nursing department.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with previous leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing practice in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Commitment to providing resident-centered care and promoting a culture of excellence.
