Duties
  • You will develop, analyze, and administer workforce development training processes and requirements.
  • You will conduct assessments of training needs and works with the Organizational Development Specialist to formulate training solutions
  • You will manage all aspects of education and training processes including administrative policies and procedures.
  • You will develop, implement, and monitor utilization of resources.
  • You will collect and analyze training data and reports the statistical results to leadership/managers.
  • You will develop policy, instructions and procedures governing the overall management of workforce development training programs.
  • You will serve as project manager for multi-site mentoring program.
  • You will assess program performance, work to resolve interpersonal or administrative issues that may arise during program implementation, analyze program performance, and provide recommendations to steering committee to improve program effectiveness.
  • You will compile results of student surveys to evaluate course effectiveness.
  • You will review and analyze training data to provide an overall status of the training requirements workload and identify future issues that might impact the ability to meet the mission.
  • You will advise management regarding developing trends and/or situations and required actions to enhance the effectiveness of training.
  • You will analyze established procedures, identify deficiencies, make recommendations, and take appropriate corrective actions.
RequirementsConditions of Employment

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
QualificationsGS-12:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "evaluating program data or reports to develop strategies or solutions in meeting workforce development and production of materials to meet program objectives or requirements."Gs-11Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education
Education may be used as a substitution to specialized experience only for the following grade levels:For The GS-11 Grade Level
  • Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. -OR-
  • Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. -OR-
  • Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. -OR-
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
