- Strong research skills, particularly using foreign-language media and social media sources
- Strong writing and editing abilities
- Familiarity with the politics, culture, and history of China, Taiwan, Mongolia, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Burma, Thailand, The Philippines, Cambodia, and/or Laos
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience using Power BI, PDF editor, and InDesign a plus
- Strong understanding of conflict-affected regions/countries
- Experience living in, studying, or working on topics related to the Asia-Pacific region.
- Open-source analysis experience in a professional setting
- GIS skills/knowledge
- Data management and analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Master's Degree in regional studies or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin/Cantonese desired
