Responsibilities and duties include:

• Provide expert safety professional services for the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) to perform reviews of Industrial and Construction Safety Programs.
• Assess the WTP contractors’ compliance with applicable laws, regulations, or directives as codified in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 835, 10 CFR 851, 10 CFR 850.
• Assist the DOE Chemical Safety Manager in oversight of the Chemical Safety Management Program (CSMP) and Process Safety Management (PSM) Program.
• Apply expert knowledge of process system safety and understanding of defense-in-depth and layer of protection analysis to oversight of the programs.
• Integrate with a diverse discipline team to evaluate implementation of the CSMPD and PSM program effectively and comprehensively.
• Assist the DOE Chemical Safety Manager in review and approval of submitted CSMP deliverables.

• BS Health Physics, Physics, Science, Industrial Hygiene (IH) or Engineering
• 10 Years of Experience in Chemical Safety Management or Process Safety Management
• Excellent Management, written and oral communication skills
• Certified HP Preferred
• Certified IH Preferred
• Master or PHD in HP, Physics, Science or Engineering Preferred
• Certified Safety Professional Preferred
• Experience with Process Safety Management Preferred

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Salary Range: $113,000 - $147,000

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market.
