Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Work Control Planner II in Richland, WA.

This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

Responsible for developing work packages using Navarro-ATL Work Control Processes and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for preventive maintenance at 222-S Laboratory structures/systems/components. Applies knowledge of Work Control Planner principles and practices in assignments and related work.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, reviews the planning process for efficiency and makes recommendations to management.
  • Prepares and/or verifies accuracy of work orders and work activity schedules, conducts planning meetings and provides planning status to project schedules.
  • Prepares, tracks, and controls work orders required to accomplish assigned activities.
  • Provides miscellaneous planning activities, as required by manager.
  • Reviews and analyzes work documents for proper classification, priority, and description.
  • Prepares work documents in accordance with work control standards and procedures.
  • With input from field work supervision, estimates and establishes man hours, material, and manpower needed for job completion.
  • Supports material requisition.
  • Works with Engineering for new equipment PMs as well as changes necessary to perform work in the field.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and 2 years’ practical work experience in maintenance or related area, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., trade school degree) and directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventive maintenance planning is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Maintenance or construction craft experience, or Field Work Supervision experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventive maintenance planning at 222-S Laboratory or Category 2 Nuclear Facilities is desired.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Grade 14: $71,200 - $89,800

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market.
