Position Overview: We are seeking a Matrimonial Law Attorney with at least 3 years of experience practicing family law. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of support, child custody, adoption, name changes, neglect, CPS investigations, and paternity. You must possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think creatively to find solutions that meet our clients' needs. A commitment to delivering the highest customer service and advocating for our client's best interests is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of matrimonial law matters, including divorce proceedings, equitable distribution, alimony/spousal support, child custody, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Provide high-quality legal representation to clients, ensuring their best interests are always a priority.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to matrimonial law.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on changes in matrimonial law.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff within the firm to develop your skills and enhance client service.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other legal professionals and the broader legal community.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
