Job Description

PROJECT MANAGER, STRATEGY & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Navico Group’s Strategy & Business Development, Project Manager will add value to the team in a unique role at the intersection of Strategy Definition, Operational Performance, Innovation, and Inorganic Growth. You will work alongside the leaders of every function and division of Brunswick by providing the leadership and strategic perspective needed to implement solutions that enhance our strategy, productivity, performance, and long-term profitability. You will have the opportunity to solve complex problems by leading global, cross-functional teams to define and realize various business strategies.

The actions you will take…

  • Design and define organizational Strategy with relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage data-driven modeling to guide organizational leaders to adopt strategic recommendations and develop strategy realization plans.
  • Provide program and project management to realize Navico Group’s key strategic and transformational initiatives (e.g., IT transformation / modernization, operational improvement, commercial strategy activation, M&A / post-acquisition integration).
  • Establish and maintain governance structure with executive oversight through risk mitigation, decision making facilitation / documentation, clear communication, and regular reporting.
  • Guide the transition of project contributors from working groups to high performing teams through team chartering activities, successful team management, and collaboration / prioritization facilitation.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Collaborate with executive sponsors to ensure project realization and continued support of overall business objectives.
  • Build and implement solution sustaining plans including Change Management Strategy and adoption monitoring / realization.
  • Identify and track cross project dependencies and impacts; communicate issues and provide solutions.
  • Coordinate program and team administration including knowledge management for critical information / documentation from initiative to sustained solution stand-up.

Your value contributions

  • A Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (e.g., corporate strategy, management consulting, project / program management)
  • Strong analytic and solution modeling skills necessary for defining strategies and scoping project plans.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties.
  • Strong understanding of formal project and change management methodologies and tools, PMP / Prosci certification a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of various sizes, global team management a plus.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, knowledge management best practices, and multitasking skills.
  • Domestic and internation travel may be required based upon business needs (<25%)
