Job Title: Acute Dialysis Nurse 
Location: Hackensack, NJ

Schedule: Evenings (11:30 AM - 10:00 PM), 4 x 10-hour shifts per week. Every other Saturday with occasional Sundays during holidays. Holidays required (3 out of 6). No on-call requirement.

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Acute Dialysis team! In this role, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) undergoing hemodialysis treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the condition of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans for assigned patients.
• Perform therapeutic interventions and manage patient care as directed by the physician.
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
• Educate and support patients and their families about hemodialysis treatment and kidney health.
• Respond effectively to patient emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and innovations in acute dialysis care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute dialysis is a must.
• Experience with Acute Hemodialysis and Telemetry is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Fresenius T Machine and portable RO systems is a plus.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)
• Active RN License in the state of New Jersey

Preferred Certifications:

• Telemetry Certification
