Job Title : Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary : We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Certified Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of healthcare professionals to provide patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and perform administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and dedicated to delivering high-quality care to patients.

Responsibilities :

• Assist healthcare providers in examining and treating patients, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing examination rooms.
• Perform routine clinical procedures, such as collecting specimens, administering injections, and performing EKGs.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures, providing instructions and support as needed.
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers and maintain accurate medication records.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, and rapid strep tests.
• Perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples from patients for testing and analysis.
• Assist with medical procedures, surgeries, and minor surgical interventions under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient education and support on topics such as medication administration, wound care, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions and documentation.
• Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, updating medical records, and processing insurance forms.

Qualifications :

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
• Current CPR certification required.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency in basic clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and performing EKGs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
