Job Summary: The Medical Practice Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in a busy medical practice. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and variable weekday shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in general pediatrics and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with examinations.
• Perform routine procedures such as immunizations, wound care, and other pediatric-specific treatments.
• Document patient information and care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, preferably EPIC.
• Educate patients and their families on health care needs, conditions, and treatment plans.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in the maintenance of clinical supplies and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Adapt to varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and split shifts as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in general pediatrics.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Licensure: Current licensure and registration as an LPN in New York State.
• Preferred: Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Other: Must be able to work nights and weekends. Some weekdays will be 11am-7pm and some weekdays will be 9am-5pm. Must also be able to work Saturdays. No exceptions.

Additional Information:

• Dress Code: Blue and white scrubs.
• Assignment Type: 11-week assignment with a possibility of temp-to-perm.

Schedule Notes: This position requires flexibility in work hours. The candidate must be available to work the specified shifts, including the variable weekday hours and Saturdays. Consistent availability during these times is mandatory to meet the needs of the pediatric department.
