The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med Surg unit at Kingsbury Pavilion is responsible for coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. The RN will maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult-geriatric patients.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Float to the Thompson Unit if needed.
• Use the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation.
• Adhere to the facility's dress code: traveler-provided professional scrubs (no logos).

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
• Certifications:
  • ACLS certification is strongly preferred.
  • BLS certification must be current.
• Licensure:
  • Must have a New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate at the time of submission. Visit NH OPLC for more information.
  • Current Nursys license verification must be uploaded with the profile.
• Training:
  • As of January 1, 2024, all new and returning agency staff must have completed de-escalation training from one of the following:
    • Welle: Verbal De-escalation Bundle
    • CPI: Crisis Prevention
    • PMCS: Preventive Management of Aggressive Behavior

• Travelers: Cheshire will not consider "local travelers" (those who reside within 50 miles of the facility).
• Shift Accommodation: Requests such as block scheduling will not be considered.
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Must be noted and verified at upload. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better).
• Non-Billable Orientation: 0 hours
• Multipliers: Overtime, holiday, and call-back multipliers are 1.25%
