Job Description:

The Medical Assistant (MA) will manage customer flow throughout the clinic and assist healthcare providers in managing and treating patients of various ages and backgrounds. This role focuses on collaborative and supportive tasks as per the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice. The MA will receive direction from the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to achieve the goals of the clinic, shift, department, and organization. Effective communication with the healthcare team regarding patient progress, concerns, and questions is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist providers in delivering patient care.
• Manage customer flow and appointment scheduling.
• Perform delegated clinical tasks under the direction of supervising nurses and providers.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a patient-care setting.
• Education:
  • Medical Assistant Diploma from a program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Certifications:
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC) is required.
• Work History:
  • Must list prior work history with North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Hospital, and/or Blaze Health LLC on the resume.
• Eligibility:
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Profile Requirements:
  • Detailed work history reflecting patient-care experience.
  • Skills checklist current within the last year, relevant to the medical assistant specialty.
  • Two supervisory references with dates of employment listed.
