Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (with flexibility to work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 09/02/2024
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed

Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA) will play a key role in managing customer flow throughout the clinic and assisting providers with the care and treatment of patients. The role involves working with a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The MA will perform both clinical and clerical tasks to ensure efficient operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer flow throughout the clinic, ensuring patients are efficiently roomed and ready for provider appointments.
• Administer immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider.
• Perform laboratory specimen collection and clinic laboratory tests as needed.
• Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between customers and providers.
• Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Perform phlebotomy and x-ray duties (if x-ray operator exam has been passed).
• Provide front desk/check-in support, including ordering and stocking supplies.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1 years of experience required; experience with all patient populations highly preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) required; Medical Assistant Diploma highly preferred.
• Additional Skills: Epic experience highly preferred; flexibility to float to other clinics in close proximity if needed.
• Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination required
