Position : Medical Receptionist CWR

Job Summary :
The Medical Receptionist provides reception and clerical services under the supervision of the practice manager and physician(s) for patients and visitors.
This role involves tasks such as billing, collections, referrals, appointments, patient contact, and general secretarial duties.
The Medical Receptionist must be willing to travel within a 30-minute radius of their home and float to various locations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Patient and Visitor Interaction :
Communication : Receive and direct all communication courteously and consistently. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and office policies.
Answer phone calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
Financial Responsibilities :
Billing and Collections : Stay abreast of reimbursement and billing procedures. Verify information on the Audit Journal, prepare bank deposits, and manage credit card batches.
Sign and date completed daily cash receipts.
Insurance Verification : Verify insurance eligibility, ensure appropriate referrals are obtained, and collect copayments and any applicable balances.
