Position : Medical Receptionist
Location : Red Bank, NJ

Job Summary :
The Medical Receptionist provides front desk and clerical services under the supervision of the practice manager and physician(s) for patients and visitors in a medical practice setting.
The role encompasses various tasks including billing, collections, referrals, scheduling appointments, patient contact, and general secretarial duties.
The Medical Receptionist must be adaptable and ready to travel within 30 minutes of their home, floating to various locations as needed.
Essential Job Functions :
Reception and Communication : Receive and direct all communication courteously and consistently according to HIPAA guidelines and office policy.
Answer phone calls quickly and direct them appropriately.
Collect copayments and applicable balances, verify insurance eligibility, and ensure necessary referrals are obtained (specialty offices).
Enter patient demographic information accurately into the billing / computer system.
Communicate potential patient satisfaction issues to the direct manager.
Willingness to cross-cover other roles when necessary. Manage time effectively to prevent unapproved overtime.
