Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Riverhead, NY

Job Description:

• Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.
• Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients.
• Monitor and watch for any unusual reaction’s patients may have to drugs.
• Operate imaging equipment.
• Maintain detailed procedure records.
• Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures.

Required: 2 years of experience.

Preferred: Experience working on a Philips Forte Camera and Pegasus processor.

Education:

• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• R.T. (N) registration with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) OR CNMT registration with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
