Unit Name: Inpatient Float

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts), 36 hours guaranteed. Must be willing to float to other units as needed. Must be willing to take charge shift as scheduled. Travelers will be required to make up any missed shifts prior to the end of their contract.

Description: THIS IS AN ADULT UNIT! MUST BE COMFORTABLE AND EXPERIENCED!

Effective 6/24/2024, any candidates presented to Brattleboro Retreat that live within 35 miles of the facility will be subject to a 10% rate decrease. Please include the candidate's address or driver's license in the submission packet.

Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to assess individual and group needs, implementing appropriate interventions using the nursing process for patients requiring complex psychiatric care. Provides clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to ensure safe and therapeutic care delivery. The Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program provides 24-hour care in a supportive environment aimed at promoting healing and recovery.

Our treatment approach focuses on supporting patients in achieving sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric conditions such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders. The team specializes in intervention, medically assisted withdrawal, stabilization, and comprehensive patient education for successful recovery.

Requirement Description:

• 5 years of experience as an RN required but will consider first-time travelers - REQUIRED
• Psych/Behavioral Health experience must be listed on the resume - REQUIRED
• Must be willing to float to other units and take charge RN shifts - REQUIRED
