Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Springfield, VT
Duration: 13-week contract with possible extension
Unit: Emergency Department
Shift: 12 hr. nights 36hr guarantee

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care to adult patients. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patient conditions and needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with medical best practices.
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of current ED experience in a hospital setting.
  • Current and valid Vermont or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), and TNCC certifications are required.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of adult care best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
