Weekly Blended: $2468.00

Duties:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Float requirements- Will be required to float to wherever is needed throughout facility. This includes Adult units/ect.
• When floating to Adult floors, RN will not take assignment but act as a PCT.

Skill:

• Minimum 2 years of previous Clinical Pediatric experience required and 2 years of PICU
• BLS-aha & PALS certifications- Required
• Float requirements- Will be required to float to wherever is needed throughout facility. This includes Adult units/ect.
• When floating to Adult floors, RN will not take assignment but act as a PCT.

Education:

• Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing - Required. Current licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing - Required. BSN - Preferred

Certifications & Licenses:

• BLS-AHA
• NJ or Compact RN License
• PALS-AHA

Lang uages: English(Speak, Read, Write)

Schedule Notes: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays- As Needed. On call- Required. Not often, only when census is down and not needed in Peds ER, Mother/Baby, Nursery.
