Job Description:

Weirton Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures and will play a crucial role in patient care and safety during catheterization lab procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Positioning and Immobilization: Position and immobilize patients on examining table following specified protocols.
• Patient Hemodynamic Assessment: Continuously assess patient hemodynamics and alert the physician to changes in patient responses.
• Conscious Sedation: Perform conscious sedation and maintain proficiency in administering and monitoring sedation.
• IV/IC Infusion and Bolus Maintenance: Mix and maintain IV/IC infusions and boluses.
• Assistance in Procedures: Assist physicians in interventional procedures and recover patients to Phase I.
• Patient Care: Work with Covid patients as needed, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of current Cath Lab experience - Required
  • 2 years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures - Required
  • Experience in interpreting EKG & hemodynamic pressure tracings - Required
  • Conscious sedation experience - Required
  • IV experience - Required
  • EP experience - Highly Preferred
  • Sorian EMR experience - Preferred
  • Previous travel experience - Preferred
• Certification:
  • Moderate Sedation Certified - Highly Preferred
• Education:
  • BSN - Preferred
• Licensing:
  • WV or Compact license must be in hand upon submission

• Attendance Policy: A three-strike rule for any call-offs will be implemented. After three call-offs, a traveler’s contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance at Weirton Medical Center’s discretion.
