NavitsPartners is Hiring a Scrum Master -SM24-08727 Near Memphis, TN

Position: Scrum Master
Duration: 6 months
Location: Memphis, TN ( Onsite)

Description:
We are in need of an experienced Scrum Master, ideally with a background in project management. The ideal candidate will be a mature leader comfortable with planning and driving projects while holding teams accountable.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects and programs.
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives for the product team.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, sprint refinement, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and daily scrum meetings.
  • Collaborate between developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide teams to higher scrum maturity.
  • Provide effective and clear verbal and written communication.
  • Serve as the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders).
  • Support the product owner and provide education where needed by working with product owners to handle backlogs, prioritization, and new requests.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur for the team.
  • Help teams implement changes effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Monitor and improve the team's velocity.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it.
  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices.
  • Assist the product owner and development team in achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop self-organization within the scrum team.
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments.
  • Assist the scrum team in achieving higher levels of scrum maturity.
  • Formulate, organize, and monitor interconnected projects across multiple teams.
  • Guide the team to apply the 5 whys to each proposed user story.
  • Guide the team to focus on the desired behavior or outcomes.
  • Provide weekly executive summaries of the project's progress.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in Agile.
  • Prior experience in project management is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in management or a relevant field.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with budget, scope, and schedule management.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques.
