NavSav Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our accounting team. The accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring that the financial affairs of the company are handled properly and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The accountant's role is to provide financial transparency and ensure that the trust operates within the bounds of the law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documentation.
• Record financial transactions, such as income, expenses, and payroll.
• Handle day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring they are properly categorized and recorded.
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure that the company's records match the bank's records.
• Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide an overview of the company's financial health.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices to ensure the company's compliance.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of accounting and financial statements
• Utilize company accounting software for appropriate tracking and reporting requirements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation of the company.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the insurance industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
